Dr.FORHAIR, Awarded in the Global Haircare Brand Category at the ‘Beyond Beauty Brands Awards in Xiamen’


[Beauty Team] Illimus Inc’s scalp and hair loss care brand Dr. FORHAIR (CEO: Jang Yelin) won the prize of the Global Haircare Brand  at the ‘Beyond Beauty Brands Awards in Xiamen.’

‘Beyond Beauty Brands Awards in Xiamen’ awarded products and brands that led the K-cosmetic trend in 2015 and was held in Xiamen, a beautiful vacation spot in China.

Dr.FORHAIR is a scalp and haircare brand that has its basis in 25 years of top-class technology and experience. It won an award in the Global Haircare Brand Category among many competitive contestants. In addition to its products, the brand also has 14 stores in Asia and in the U.S. (including New York) where scalp and hair care is provided. It aims to open another shop in Beijing this year and ultimately, 500 shops in Asia in the future.

Dr.FORHAIR’s most famous product, Folligen Shampoo, is known as the shampoo that is sold every two seconds. In 2015 alone, 3 million shampoo bottles were sold in Korea and it is the shampoo with the highest sales in Hyundai Home Shopping and Lotte Home Shopping. It is also popular in five-star hotels and Hyundai department stores.

Folligen Shampoo is an FDA-approved OTC product that was also authorized by the Korean Food and Drugs Administration for its hair loss prevention and hair thickening effect. For 2016, Dr.FORHAIR wants to provide its product to Watsons of the U.S. and Hong Kong through a Korean drugstore, Olive Young.
