F/W 2013 SONGZIO
[by Chloe Yun / photo by Kim Gang yoo] The designer Songzio’s show was inspired by “Sanctuary,” a gothic novel by William Faulkner. The collection expressed such strong images as closure, suppression, and impulse. The collection colors—black, white, and grey—reminded of the background of the novel, and the designer used painting and metal materials to emphasize the texture and the volume of the garments. Most of the collection garments were turtleneck style, and the suits were slim fit.
The designer used sheepskin and buffalo leather to express strong masculinity. Meanwhile, Cha Seung Won walked the runway as a main model showing off his unchangeable existence.
